Installing the App (PWA)

What is a PWA?

A Progressive Web App (PWA) lets you install EarnItGrid directly on your device. It works like a native app but doesn't require an app store.

Benefits of Installing

• Home screen icon: Quick access like any app
• Full screen: No browser bar taking up space
• Faster loading: Cached resources load instantly
• Better notifications: More reliable push notifications
• Offline support: View your grid even without internet

How to Install

iPhone/iPad (Safari)

1. Open EarnItGrid in Safari (not Chrome)
2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Name it "EarnItGrid" and tap Add

Android (Chrome)

1. Open EarnItGrid in Chrome
2. Tap the three dots menu (⋮)
3. Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen"
4. Confirm the installation

Desktop (Chrome/Edge)

1. Open EarnItGrid in your browser
2. Look for the install icon (⊕) in the address bar
3. Click it and confirm installation
4. Or: Menu > "Install EarnItGrid..."

Desktop (Safari)

Safari on macOS 14+ supports PWAs:

1. Open EarnItGrid
2. Go to File > Add to Dock
3. Confirm the installation

After Installing

Once installed, you'll find EarnItGrid:

• iOS: On your Home Screen
• Android: In your app drawer and Home Screen
• Desktop: In your Applications folder or Start Menu

Updating the App

PWAs update automatically when you use them and are connected to the internet. You'll always have the latest version.

Removing the App

iOS

Long-press the icon > "Remove App" > "Delete App"

Android

Long-press > drag to "Uninstall" or go to Settings > Apps

Desktop

Right-click the app icon > Uninstall

Troubleshooting

"Add to Home Screen" Not Showing

• Make sure you're using the correct browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android)
• Try refreshing the page
• Check that you have enough storage space

App Won't Open

• Clear browser data and reinstall
• Check for OS updates
• Restart your device
