What Are Gold Stars?
Gold Stars are the currency of EarnItGrid. You earn them by completing habits consistently, and you can spend them on rewards you've set for yourself.
How to Earn Stars
Daily Habit Completions
- 1 star for each habit you complete
- Stars are awarded when you mark a habit complete for the current day
- Retroactive completions (past days) don't earn stars
Perfect Days
When you complete all your habits for a day, you get a bonus!
Milestones
Hit weekly, monthly, or yearly goals to earn bonus stars.
The Star Balance
Your star balance is displayed in the header. This shows how many stars you have available to spend.
Spending Stars
You can spend your stars on:
- Personal Rewards - Treats you've set up for yourself
- Shop Items - Special themes and features (coming soon)
Star Philosophy
The star system is designed to make habit tracking feel rewarding, not punishing. You never lose stars for missing habits - you simply don't earn new ones.
This positive reinforcement approach helps build sustainable habits without guilt.
